Thermomodernization of the school building of the I. Łukasiewicz School Complex in Police is underway

At the I. Łukasiewicz School Complex in Police, thermal modernization of the school building is under way. The task is carried out as part of the project "Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings in the Polish District".

Planned thermo-modernization activities in the project include:

  • modernization of the system, including replacement of radiators,
  • insulation of outer walls with a layer of styrofoam,
  • replacement of exterior doors,
  • insulation of the attic,
  • replacement of window joinery,
  • HVAC modernization with the necessary equipment and fixtures,
  • installation of mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation,
  • replacement of lighting with energy-saving ones with motion detectors,
  • installation of photovoltaic panels.

Currently, the main entrance to the school building is being rebuilt, old classrooms heaters have been dismantled and new ones installed. The contractor also started the reconstruction of the building's ventilation system - says Beata Chmielewska, Member of the District Management Board in Police.

The amount of the task is PLN 6 242 250 and the funding is PLN 2 446 120. 94 The remaining amount comes from the budget of the Policki District. The completion date is expected by the end of 2022.
The contractor of the investment is Rafał Zieliński - Przedsiębiorstwo Wielobranżowe Usługi - Handel.

The project entitled "Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings in Police County" includes the school building of the I. Łukasiewicz School Complex in Police, four buildings in the Special School and Education Centre No. 1 in Police and the sports hall building in the Youth Education Centre in Trzebieży and is co-financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area under the Environment Programme, Energy and Climate Change renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy security and the Government Local Investment Fund.

The total amount of funding is PLN 7,413,158. The remaining PLN 6 000 000 comes from the budget of the Policki District.
